Surah Al-Humazahسورة الهمزة

وَيْلٌ لِّكُلِّ هُمَزَةٍ لُّمَزَةٍ ﴿١﴾

104:1 Woe to every backbiter and slanderer

ٱلَّذِى جَمَعَ مَالًا وَعَدَّدَهُۥ ﴿٢﴾

104:2 who amasses wealth and counts it over and again

يَحْسَبُ أَنَّ مَالَهُۥٓ أَخْلَدَهُۥ ﴿٣﴾

104:3 thinking that his wealth will make him live forever

كَلَّا ۖ لَيُنۢبَذَنَّ فِى ٱلْحُطَمَةِ ﴿٤﴾

104:4 No indeed! He will surely be cast into the Crushing Fire

وَمَآ أَدْرَىٰكَ مَا ٱلْحُطَمَةُ ﴿٥﴾

104:5 and how do you know what the Crushing Fire is

نَارُ ٱللَّهِ ٱلْمُوقَدَةُ ﴿٦﴾

104:6 It is the kindled Fire of Allah

ٱلَّتِى تَطَّلِعُ عَلَى ٱلْأَفْـِٔدَةِ ﴿٧﴾

104:7 which reaches the hearts

إِنَّهَا عَلَيْهِم مُّؤْصَدَةٌ ﴿٨﴾

104:8 It will be closed down upon them

فِى عَمَدٍ مُّمَدَّدَةٍۭ ﴿٩﴾

104:9 locked with towering columns
