Surah Fussilat, verse 17
Listen to this passage
وَأَمَّا ثَمُودُ فَهَدَيْنَـٰهُمْ فَٱسْتَحَبُّوا۟ ٱلْعَمَىٰ عَلَى ٱلْهُدَىٰ فَأَخَذَتْهُمْ صَـٰعِقَةُ ٱلْعَذَابِ ٱلْهُونِ بِمَا كَانُوا۟ يَكْسِبُونَ ﴿١٧﴾
41:17 As for Thamūd, We showed them guidance, but they preferred blindness over the guidance. So they were seized by the blast of a debasing punishment for what they used to commit
