Surah Qaf, verse 36

وَكَمْ أَهْلَكْنَا قَبْلَهُم مِّن قَرْنٍ هُمْ أَشَدُّ مِنْهُم بَطْشًا فَنَقَّبُوا۟ فِى ٱلْبِلَـٰدِ هَلْ مِن مَّحِيصٍ ﴿٣٦﴾
50:36 How many nations We destroyed before them [Makkans] who were stronger than them in might! They traveled through the land. Did they find any escape
