Surah Ad-Duhaسورة الضحى

وَٱلضُّحَىٰ ﴿١﴾

93:1 By the morning brightness

وَٱلَّيْلِ إِذَا سَجَىٰ ﴿٢﴾

93:2 and by the night when it is still

مَا وَدَّعَكَ رَبُّكَ وَمَا قَلَىٰ ﴿٣﴾

93:3 your Lord has not forsaken you [O Prophet], nor does He hate you

وَلَلْـَٔاخِرَةُ خَيْرٌ لَّكَ مِنَ ٱلْأُولَىٰ ﴿٤﴾

93:4 the Hereafter is better for you than the present life

وَلَسَوْفَ يُعْطِيكَ رَبُّكَ فَتَرْضَىٰٓ ﴿٥﴾

93:5 and your Lord will certainly give you so much that you will be well pleased

أَلَمْ يَجِدْكَ يَتِيمًا فَـَٔاوَىٰ ﴿٦﴾

93:6 Did He not find you an orphan then take good care of you

وَوَجَدَكَ ضَآلًّا فَهَدَىٰ ﴿٧﴾

93:7 Did He not find you unguided then guide you

وَوَجَدَكَ عَآئِلًا فَأَغْنَىٰ ﴿٨﴾

93:8 Did He not find you in need then enrich you

فَأَمَّا ٱلْيَتِيمَ فَلَا تَقْهَرْ ﴿٩﴾

93:9 So do not mistreat the orphan

وَأَمَّا ٱلسَّآئِلَ فَلَا تَنْهَرْ ﴿١٠﴾

93:10 nor repulse the beggar

وَأَمَّا بِنِعْمَةِ رَبِّكَ فَحَدِّثْ ﴿١١﴾

93:11 and proclaim the blessings of your Lord
