Surah Al-Laylسورة الليل

وَٱلَّيْلِ إِذَا يَغْشَىٰ ﴿١﴾

92:1 By the night when it covers

وَٱلنَّهَارِ إِذَا تَجَلَّىٰ ﴿٢﴾

92:2 and by the day when it appears

وَمَا خَلَقَ ٱلذَّكَرَ وَٱلْأُنثَىٰٓ ﴿٣﴾

92:3 and by His creation of male and female

إِنَّ سَعْيَكُمْ لَشَتَّىٰ ﴿٤﴾

92:4 surely your efforts are divergent

فَأَمَّا مَنْ أَعْطَىٰ وَٱتَّقَىٰ ﴿٥﴾

92:5 As for the one who gives in charity and fears Allah

وَصَدَّقَ بِٱلْحُسْنَىٰ ﴿٦﴾

92:6 and truly believes in the best reward

فَسَنُيَسِّرُهُۥ لِلْيُسْرَىٰ ﴿٧﴾

92:7 We will make easy for him the way of salvation

وَأَمَّا مَنۢ بَخِلَ وَٱسْتَغْنَىٰ ﴿٨﴾

92:8 But as for the one who is miserly and deems himself self-sufficient

وَكَذَّبَ بِٱلْحُسْنَىٰ ﴿٩﴾

92:9 and denies the best reward

فَسَنُيَسِّرُهُۥ لِلْعُسْرَىٰ ﴿١٠﴾

92:10 We will make easy for him the way of perdition

وَمَا يُغْنِى عَنْهُ مَالُهُۥٓ إِذَا تَرَدَّىٰٓ ﴿١١﴾

92:11 His wealth will be of no avail to him when he tumbles [into Hell]

إِنَّ عَلَيْنَا لَلْهُدَىٰ ﴿١٢﴾

92:12 Indeed, it is upon Us to show the right way

وَإِنَّ لَنَا لَلْـَٔاخِرَةَ وَٱلْأُولَىٰ ﴿١٣﴾

92:13 and surely to Us belong the Hereafter and the present life

فَأَنذَرْتُكُمْ نَارًا تَلَظَّىٰ ﴿١٤﴾

92:14 So I warn you of a raging Fire

لَا يَصْلَىٰهَآ إِلَّا ٱلْأَشْقَى ﴿١٥﴾

92:15 none will enter it except the most wretched

ٱلَّذِى كَذَّبَ وَتَوَلَّىٰ ﴿١٦﴾

92:16 who denied and turned away

وَسَيُجَنَّبُهَا ٱلْأَتْقَى ﴿١٧﴾

92:17 But the most righteous will be saved from it

ٱلَّذِى يُؤْتِى مَالَهُۥ يَتَزَكَّىٰ ﴿١٨﴾

92:18 who spends his wealth to purify himself

وَمَا لِأَحَدٍ عِندَهُۥ مِن نِّعْمَةٍ تُجْزَىٰٓ ﴿١٩﴾

92:19 not in return for someone’s favors

إِلَّا ٱبْتِغَآءَ وَجْهِ رَبِّهِ ٱلْأَعْلَىٰ ﴿٢٠﴾

92:20 but to seek the pleasure of his Lord, the Most High

وَلَسَوْفَ يَرْضَىٰ ﴿٢١﴾

92:21 He will surely be well pleased
