Surah Al-Qiyamahسورة القيامة

لَآ أُقْسِمُ بِيَوْمِ ٱلْقِيَـٰمَةِ ﴿١﴾

75:1 I swear by the Day of Resurrection

وَلَآ أُقْسِمُ بِٱلنَّفْسِ ٱللَّوَّامَةِ ﴿٢﴾

75:2 and I swear by the self-reproaching soul

أَيَحْسَبُ ٱلْإِنسَـٰنُ أَلَّن نَّجْمَعَ عِظَامَهُۥ ﴿٣﴾

75:3 Does man think that We cannot reassemble his bones

بَلَىٰ قَـٰدِرِينَ عَلَىٰٓ أَن نُّسَوِّىَ بَنَانَهُۥ ﴿٤﴾

75:4 In fact, We are able to restore even his very fingertips

بَلْ يُرِيدُ ٱلْإِنسَـٰنُ لِيَفْجُرَ أَمَامَهُۥ ﴿٥﴾

75:5 But man desires to persists in his evil ways

يَسْـَٔلُ أَيَّانَ يَوْمُ ٱلْقِيَـٰمَةِ ﴿٦﴾

75:6 and asks [mockingly], “When is the Day of Resurrection?”

فَإِذَا بَرِقَ ٱلْبَصَرُ ﴿٧﴾

75:7 But when eyes are dazzled

وَخَسَفَ ٱلْقَمَرُ ﴿٨﴾

75:8 and the moon is darkened

وَجُمِعَ ٱلشَّمْسُ وَٱلْقَمَرُ ﴿٩﴾

75:9 and the sun and the moon are brought together

يَقُولُ ٱلْإِنسَـٰنُ يَوْمَئِذٍ أَيْنَ ٱلْمَفَرُّ ﴿١٠﴾

75:10 on that Day man will say, “Where is the escape?”

كَلَّا لَا وَزَرَ ﴿١١﴾

75:11 No indeed! There will be no refuge

إِلَىٰ رَبِّكَ يَوْمَئِذٍ ٱلْمُسْتَقَرُّ ﴿١٢﴾

75:12 On that Day all will end up before your Lord

يُنَبَّؤُا۟ ٱلْإِنسَـٰنُ يَوْمَئِذٍۭ بِمَا قَدَّمَ وَأَخَّرَ ﴿١٣﴾

75:13 On that Day man will be informed of what he has sent forth and left behind

بَلِ ٱلْإِنسَـٰنُ عَلَىٰ نَفْسِهِۦ بَصِيرَةٌ ﴿١٤﴾

75:14 In fact, man will be a witness against himself

وَلَوْ أَلْقَىٰ مَعَاذِيرَهُۥ ﴿١٥﴾

75:15 despite the excuses he may put forward

لَا تُحَرِّكْ بِهِۦ لِسَانَكَ لِتَعْجَلَ بِهِۦٓ ﴿١٦﴾

75:16 Do not move your tongue [O Prophet] in haste trying to memorize it

إِنَّ عَلَيْنَا جَمْعَهُۥ وَقُرْءَانَهُۥ ﴿١٧﴾

75:17 It is upon Us to make you memorize and recite it

فَإِذَا قَرَأْنَـٰهُ فَٱتَّبِعْ قُرْءَانَهُۥ ﴿١٨﴾

75:18 Then when We recite it [through Gabriel], follow its recitation attentively

ثُمَّ إِنَّ عَلَيْنَا بَيَانَهُۥ ﴿١٩﴾

75:19 then it is upon Us to explain its meanings

كَلَّا بَلْ تُحِبُّونَ ٱلْعَاجِلَةَ ﴿٢٠﴾

75:20 No indeed! You [people] love this fleeting world

وَتَذَرُونَ ٱلْـَٔاخِرَةَ ﴿٢١﴾

75:21 and neglect the Hereafter

وُجُوهٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ نَّاضِرَةٌ ﴿٢٢﴾

75:22 On that Day some faces will be bright

إِلَىٰ رَبِّهَا نَاظِرَةٌ ﴿٢٣﴾

75:23 looking at their Lord

وَوُجُوهٌ يَوْمَئِذٍۭ بَاسِرَةٌ ﴿٢٤﴾

75:24 And on that Day, some faces will be gloomy

تَظُنُّ أَن يُفْعَلَ بِهَا فَاقِرَةٌ ﴿٢٥﴾

75:25 knowing that a crushing calamity will befall them

كَلَّآ إِذَا بَلَغَتِ ٱلتَّرَاقِىَ ﴿٢٦﴾

75:26 Indeed, when the soul reaches the throat

وَقِيلَ مَنْ ۜ رَاقٍ ﴿٢٧﴾

75:27 and it is said, “Is there any healer?”

وَظَنَّ أَنَّهُ ٱلْفِرَاقُ ﴿٢٨﴾

75:28 And he realizes that it is time to depart

وَٱلْتَفَّتِ ٱلسَّاقُ بِٱلسَّاقِ ﴿٢٩﴾

75:29 when legs are brought together [in a shroud]

إِلَىٰ رَبِّكَ يَوْمَئِذٍ ٱلْمَسَاقُ ﴿٣٠﴾

75:30 on that Day, he will be driven to your Lord

فَلَا صَدَّقَ وَلَا صَلَّىٰ ﴿٣١﴾

75:31 He neither believed nor prayed

وَلَـٰكِن كَذَّبَ وَتَوَلَّىٰ ﴿٣٢﴾

75:32 rather he denied and turned away

ثُمَّ ذَهَبَ إِلَىٰٓ أَهْلِهِۦ يَتَمَطَّىٰٓ ﴿٣٣﴾

75:33 then went swaggering to his people

أَوْلَىٰ لَكَ فَأَوْلَىٰ ﴿٣٤﴾

75:34 Woe to you [O man], and woe

ثُمَّ أَوْلَىٰ لَكَ فَأَوْلَىٰٓ ﴿٣٥﴾

75:35 Again, woe to you, and woe

أَيَحْسَبُ ٱلْإِنسَـٰنُ أَن يُتْرَكَ سُدًى ﴿٣٦﴾

75:36 Does man think that he will be left neglected

أَلَمْ يَكُ نُطْفَةً مِّن مَّنِىٍّ يُمْنَىٰ ﴿٣٧﴾

75:37 Was he not once a drop of semen emitted

ثُمَّ كَانَ عَلَقَةً فَخَلَقَ فَسَوَّىٰ ﴿٣٨﴾

75:38 then he became a clinging clot, then He created him and perfected his form

فَجَعَلَ مِنْهُ ٱلزَّوْجَيْنِ ٱلذَّكَرَ وَٱلْأُنثَىٰٓ ﴿٣٩﴾

75:39 and made from him both genders, male and female

أَلَيْسَ ذَٰلِكَ بِقَـٰدِرٍ عَلَىٰٓ أَن يُحْـِۧىَ ٱلْمَوْتَىٰ ﴿٤٠﴾

75:40 Is not He able to bring the dead back to life
