Surah Ar-Rahmanسورة الرحمن

ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنُ ﴿١﴾

55:1 The Most Compassionate

عَلَّمَ ٱلْقُرْءَانَ ﴿٢﴾

55:2 has taught the Qur’an

خَلَقَ ٱلْإِنسَـٰنَ ﴿٣﴾

55:3 He created man

عَلَّمَهُ ٱلْبَيَانَ ﴿٤﴾

55:4 and taught him speech

ٱلشَّمْسُ وَٱلْقَمَرُ بِحُسْبَانٍ ﴿٥﴾

55:5 The sun and the moon follow their precise courses

وَٱلنَّجْمُ وَٱلشَّجَرُ يَسْجُدَانِ ﴿٦﴾

55:6 and the stars and trees prostrate [to Allah]

وَٱلسَّمَآءَ رَفَعَهَا وَوَضَعَ ٱلْمِيزَانَ ﴿٧﴾

55:7 He raised the heaven and enjoined justice

أَلَّا تَطْغَوْا۟ فِى ٱلْمِيزَانِ ﴿٨﴾

55:8 so that you may not transgress the limits of justice

وَأَقِيمُوا۟ ٱلْوَزْنَ بِٱلْقِسْطِ وَلَا تُخْسِرُوا۟ ٱلْمِيزَانَ ﴿٩﴾

55:9 Therefore establish weights in justice, and do not give short measure

وَٱلْأَرْضَ وَضَعَهَا لِلْأَنَامِ ﴿١٠﴾

55:10 He has spread out the earth for all creatures

فِيهَا فَـٰكِهَةٌ وَٱلنَّخْلُ ذَاتُ ٱلْأَكْمَامِ ﴿١١﴾

55:11 in which there are fruits and palm trees with date stalks

وَٱلْحَبُّ ذُو ٱلْعَصْفِ وَٱلرَّيْحَانُ ﴿١٢﴾

55:12 and grain having chaff, and fragrant plants

فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ ﴿١٣﴾

55:13 Then which of the favors of your Lord will you [men and jinn] deny

خَلَقَ ٱلْإِنسَـٰنَ مِن صَلْصَـٰلٍ كَٱلْفَخَّارِ ﴿١٤﴾

55:14 He created man from dry clay like pottery

وَخَلَقَ ٱلْجَآنَّ مِن مَّارِجٍ مِّن نَّارٍ ﴿١٥﴾

55:15 and He created the jinn from a smokeless flame of fire

فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ ﴿١٦﴾

55:16 Then which of the favors of your Lord will you [men and jinn] deny

رَبُّ ٱلْمَشْرِقَيْنِ وَرَبُّ ٱلْمَغْرِبَيْنِ ﴿١٧﴾

55:17 [He is] Lord of the two sunrises and Lord of the two sunsets

فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ ﴿١٨﴾

55:18 Then which of the favors of your Lord will you [men and jinn] deny

مَرَجَ ٱلْبَحْرَيْنِ يَلْتَقِيَانِ ﴿١٩﴾

55:19 He merges the two seas [of fresh and salty water] meeting together

بَيْنَهُمَا بَرْزَخٌ لَّا يَبْغِيَانِ ﴿٢٠﴾

55:20 yet between them is a barrier so that they do not cross

فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ ﴿٢١﴾

55:21 Then which of the favors of your Lord will you [men and jinn] deny

يَخْرُجُ مِنْهُمَا ٱللُّؤْلُؤُ وَٱلْمَرْجَانُ ﴿٢٢﴾

55:22 Out of both of them emerge pearls and coral

فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ ﴿٢٣﴾

55:23 Then which of the favors of your Lord will you [men and jinn] deny

وَلَهُ ٱلْجَوَارِ ٱلْمُنشَـَٔاتُ فِى ٱلْبَحْرِ كَٱلْأَعْلَـٰمِ ﴿٢٤﴾

55:24 To Him belong the sailing ships raised up in the sea like mountains

فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ ﴿٢٥﴾

55:25 Then which of the favors of your Lord will you [men and jinn] deny

كُلُّ مَنْ عَلَيْهَا فَانٍ ﴿٢٦﴾

55:26 Everyone on earth will perish

وَيَبْقَىٰ وَجْهُ رَبِّكَ ذُو ٱلْجَلَـٰلِ وَٱلْإِكْرَامِ ﴿٢٧﴾

55:27 but there will remain the Face of your Lord, full of Majesty and Honor

فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ ﴿٢٨﴾

55:28 Then which of the favors of your Lord will you [men and jinn] deny

يَسْـَٔلُهُۥ مَن فِى ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ ۚ كُلَّ يَوْمٍ هُوَ فِى شَأْنٍ ﴿٢٩﴾

55:29 All those in the heavens and earth ask of Him; every day He is engaged in some matters

فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ ﴿٣٠﴾

55:30 Then which of the favors of your Lord will you [men and jinn] deny

سَنَفْرُغُ لَكُمْ أَيُّهَ ٱلثَّقَلَانِ ﴿٣١﴾

55:31 We will attend to you, O two multitudes [men and jinn]

فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ ﴿٣٢﴾

55:32 Then which of the favors of your Lord will you [men and jinn] deny

يَـٰمَعْشَرَ ٱلْجِنِّ وَٱلْإِنسِ إِنِ ٱسْتَطَعْتُمْ أَن تَنفُذُوا۟ مِنْ أَقْطَارِ ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ فَٱنفُذُوا۟ ۚ لَا تَنفُذُونَ إِلَّا بِسُلْطَـٰنٍ ﴿٣٣﴾

55:33 O assembly of jinn and mankind, if you are able to pass beyond the realms of the heavens and earth, then pass; you cannot pass without [Our] authority

فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ ﴿٣٤﴾

55:34 Then which of the favors of your Lord will you [men and jinn] deny

يُرْسَلُ عَلَيْكُمَا شُوَاظٌ مِّن نَّارٍ وَنُحَاسٌ فَلَا تَنتَصِرَانِ ﴿٣٥﴾

55:35 There will be sent against you flames of fire and smoke, and you will not be able to defend yourselves

فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ ﴿٣٦﴾

55:36 Then which of the favors of your Lord will you [men and jinn] deny

فَإِذَا ٱنشَقَّتِ ٱلسَّمَآءُ فَكَانَتْ وَرْدَةً كَٱلدِّهَانِ ﴿٣٧﴾

55:37 When the heaven is split asunder and becomes crimson, like red hide

فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ ﴿٣٨﴾

55:38 Then which of the favors of your Lord will you [men and jinn] deny

فَيَوْمَئِذٍ لَّا يُسْـَٔلُ عَن ذَنۢبِهِۦٓ إِنسٌ وَلَا جَآنٌّ ﴿٣٩﴾

55:39 On that Day no human or jinn will be asked about his sin

فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ ﴿٤٠﴾

55:40 Then which of the favors of your Lord will you [men and jinn] deny

يُعْرَفُ ٱلْمُجْرِمُونَ بِسِيمَـٰهُمْ فَيُؤْخَذُ بِٱلنَّوَٰصِى وَٱلْأَقْدَامِ ﴿٤١﴾

55:41 The wicked will be known by their marks, and will be seized by their forelocks and their feet

فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ ﴿٤٢﴾

55:42 Then which of the favors of your Lord will you [men and jinn] deny

هَـٰذِهِۦ جَهَنَّمُ ٱلَّتِى يُكَذِّبُ بِهَا ٱلْمُجْرِمُونَ ﴿٤٣﴾

55:43 [They will be told] “This is the Hell that the wicked used to deny.”

يَطُوفُونَ بَيْنَهَا وَبَيْنَ حَمِيمٍ ءَانٍ ﴿٤٤﴾

55:44 They will go round between it and scalding water

فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ ﴿٤٥﴾

55:45 Then which of the favors of your Lord will you [men and jinn] deny

وَلِمَنْ خَافَ مَقَامَ رَبِّهِۦ جَنَّتَانِ ﴿٤٦﴾

55:46 For those who fear of standing before their Lord will be two Gardens

فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ ﴿٤٧﴾

55:47 Then which of the favors of your Lord will you [men and jinn] deny

ذَوَاتَآ أَفْنَانٍ ﴿٤٨﴾

55:48 Shaded by spreading branches

فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ ﴿٤٩﴾

55:49 Then which of the favors of your Lord will you [men and jinn] deny

فِيهِمَا عَيْنَانِ تَجْرِيَانِ ﴿٥٠﴾

55:50 In each there are two flowing springs

فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ ﴿٥١﴾

55:51 Then which of the favors of your Lord will you [men and jinn] deny

فِيهِمَا مِن كُلِّ فَـٰكِهَةٍ زَوْجَانِ ﴿٥٢﴾

55:52 In each there are two kinds of every fruit

فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ ﴿٥٣﴾

55:53 Then which of the favors of your Lord will you [men and jinn] deny

مُتَّكِـِٔينَ عَلَىٰ فُرُشٍۭ بَطَآئِنُهَا مِنْ إِسْتَبْرَقٍ ۚ وَجَنَى ٱلْجَنَّتَيْنِ دَانٍ ﴿٥٤﴾

55:54 They will recline on couches lined with rich brocade, with the fruits of both gardens within reach

فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ ﴿٥٥﴾

55:55 Then which of the favors of your Lord will you [men and jinn] deny

فِيهِنَّ قَـٰصِرَٰتُ ٱلطَّرْفِ لَمْ يَطْمِثْهُنَّ إِنسٌ قَبْلَهُمْ وَلَا جَآنٌّ ﴿٥٦﴾

55:56 In them there will be maidens of restrained gaze, untouched before them by any man or jinn

فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ ﴿٥٧﴾

55:57 Then which of the favors of your Lord will you [men and jinn] deny

كَأَنَّهُنَّ ٱلْيَاقُوتُ وَٱلْمَرْجَانُ ﴿٥٨﴾

55:58 As if they were rubies and pearls

فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ ﴿٥٩﴾

55:59 Then which of the favors of your Lord will you [men and jinn] deny

هَلْ جَزَآءُ ٱلْإِحْسَـٰنِ إِلَّا ٱلْإِحْسَـٰنُ ﴿٦٠﴾

55:60 Is the reward for goodness anything but goodness

فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ ﴿٦١﴾

55:61 Then which of the favors of your Lord will you [men and jinn] deny

وَمِن دُونِهِمَا جَنَّتَانِ ﴿٦٢﴾

55:62 And besides these two there will be two other gardens

فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ ﴿٦٣﴾

55:63 Then which of the favors of your Lord will you [men and jinn] deny

مُدْهَآمَّتَانِ ﴿٦٤﴾

55:64 Both of deepest green

فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ ﴿٦٥﴾

55:65 Then which of the favors of your Lord will you [men and jinn] deny

فِيهِمَا عَيْنَانِ نَضَّاخَتَانِ ﴿٦٦﴾

55:66 In each there are two gushing springs

فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ ﴿٦٧﴾

55:67 Then which of the favors of your Lord will you [men and jinn] deny

فِيهِمَا فَـٰكِهَةٌ وَنَخْلٌ وَرُمَّانٌ ﴿٦٨﴾

55:68 In each there are fruits, palm trees, and pomegranates

فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ ﴿٦٩﴾

55:69 Then which of the favors of your Lord will you [men and jinn] deny

فِيهِنَّ خَيْرَٰتٌ حِسَانٌ ﴿٧٠﴾

55:70 In them there are beautiful noble women

فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ ﴿٧١﴾

55:71 Then which of the favors of your Lord will you [men and jinn] deny

حُورٌ مَّقْصُورَٰتٌ فِى ٱلْخِيَامِ ﴿٧٢﴾

55:72 Maidens with gorgeous eyes, secluded in pavilions

فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ ﴿٧٣﴾

55:73 Then which of the favors of your Lord will you [men and jinn] deny

لَمْ يَطْمِثْهُنَّ إِنسٌ قَبْلَهُمْ وَلَا جَآنٌّ ﴿٧٤﴾

55:74 No human or jinn has ever touched them before

فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ ﴿٧٥﴾

55:75 Then which of the favors of your Lord will you [men and jinn] deny

مُتَّكِـِٔينَ عَلَىٰ رَفْرَفٍ خُضْرٍ وَعَبْقَرِىٍّ حِسَانٍ ﴿٧٦﴾

55:76 [They will be] reclining on green cushions and splendid carpets

فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ ﴿٧٧﴾

55:77 Then which of the favors of your Lord will you [men and jinn] deny

تَبَـٰرَكَ ٱسْمُ رَبِّكَ ذِى ٱلْجَلَـٰلِ وَٱلْإِكْرَامِ ﴿٧٨﴾

55:78 Blessed is the Name of your Lord, the Lord of Majesty and Honor
