Surah At-Tariqسورة الطارق

وَٱلسَّمَآءِ وَٱلطَّارِقِ ﴿١﴾

86:1 By the sky and the night comer –

وَمَآ أَدْرَىٰكَ مَا ٱلطَّارِقُ ﴿٢﴾

86:2 and how do you know what the night comer is

ٱلنَّجْمُ ٱلثَّاقِبُ ﴿٣﴾

86:3 It is the star of piercing brightness –

إِن كُلُّ نَفْسٍ لَّمَّا عَلَيْهَا حَافِظٌ ﴿٤﴾

86:4 there is no soul except that there is a watcher over it

فَلْيَنظُرِ ٱلْإِنسَـٰنُ مِمَّ خُلِقَ ﴿٥﴾

86:5 Let man reflect on what he was created from

خُلِقَ مِن مَّآءٍ دَافِقٍ ﴿٦﴾

86:6 He was created from a spurting fluid

يَخْرُجُ مِنۢ بَيْنِ ٱلصُّلْبِ وَٱلتَّرَآئِبِ ﴿٧﴾

86:7 emerging from between the backbone and the ribs

إِنَّهُۥ عَلَىٰ رَجْعِهِۦ لَقَادِرٌ ﴿٨﴾

86:8 Indeed, Allah is able to bring him back to life

يَوْمَ تُبْلَى ٱلسَّرَآئِرُ ﴿٩﴾

86:9 On the Day when all secrets will be disclosed

فَمَا لَهُۥ مِن قُوَّةٍ وَلَا نَاصِرٍ ﴿١٠﴾

86:10 he will then have no power, nor any helper

وَٱلسَّمَآءِ ذَاتِ ٱلرَّجْعِ ﴿١١﴾

86:11 By the sky and its recurring rain

وَٱلْأَرْضِ ذَاتِ ٱلصَّدْعِ ﴿١٢﴾

86:12 and by the earth that cracks open [with the sprout of plants]

إِنَّهُۥ لَقَوْلٌ فَصْلٌ ﴿١٣﴾

86:13 Indeed, this [Qur’an] is a decisive word

وَمَا هُوَ بِٱلْهَزْلِ ﴿١٤﴾

86:14 which is not for amusement

إِنَّهُمْ يَكِيدُونَ كَيْدًا ﴿١٥﴾

86:15 Indeed, they are devising a plan

وَأَكِيدُ كَيْدًا ﴿١٦﴾

86:16 I am too devising a plan

فَمَهِّلِ ٱلْكَـٰفِرِينَ أَمْهِلْهُمْ رُوَيْدًۢا ﴿١٧﴾

86:17 So bear with the disbelievers, and respite them for a while
