Surah Al-Alaسورة الأعلى

سَبِّحِ ٱسْمَ رَبِّكَ ٱلْأَعْلَى ﴿١﴾

87:1 Glorify the name of your Lord, the Most High

ٱلَّذِى خَلَقَ فَسَوَّىٰ ﴿٢﴾

87:2 Who created and fashioned in due proportion

وَٱلَّذِى قَدَّرَ فَهَدَىٰ ﴿٣﴾

87:3 and Who determined [the creation] then guided them

وَٱلَّذِىٓ أَخْرَجَ ٱلْمَرْعَىٰ ﴿٤﴾

87:4 and Who brings forth the pasture

فَجَعَلَهُۥ غُثَآءً أَحْوَىٰ ﴿٥﴾

87:5 then makes it into withered chaff

سَنُقْرِئُكَ فَلَا تَنسَىٰٓ ﴿٦﴾

87:6 We will teach you [the Qur’an], so you will not forget

إِلَّا مَا شَآءَ ٱللَّهُ ۚ إِنَّهُۥ يَعْلَمُ ٱلْجَهْرَ وَمَا يَخْفَىٰ ﴿٧﴾

87:7 except what Allah wills, for indeed He knows what is manifest and what is hidden

وَنُيَسِّرُكَ لِلْيُسْرَىٰ ﴿٨﴾

87:8 We will guide you to the easy way

فَذَكِّرْ إِن نَّفَعَتِ ٱلذِّكْرَىٰ ﴿٩﴾

87:9 So remind, if the reminder should benefit

سَيَذَّكَّرُ مَن يَخْشَىٰ ﴿١٠﴾

87:10 He who fears Allah will take heed

وَيَتَجَنَّبُهَا ٱلْأَشْقَى ﴿١١﴾

87:11 but the wretched will avoid it

ٱلَّذِى يَصْلَى ٱلنَّارَ ٱلْكُبْرَىٰ ﴿١٢﴾

87:12 who will enter the Great Fire

ثُمَّ لَا يَمُوتُ فِيهَا وَلَا يَحْيَىٰ ﴿١٣﴾

87:13 wherein he will neither die nor live

قَدْ أَفْلَحَ مَن تَزَكَّىٰ ﴿١٤﴾

87:14 Indeed, he who purifies himself will attain success

وَذَكَرَ ٱسْمَ رَبِّهِۦ فَصَلَّىٰ ﴿١٥﴾

87:15 and remembers his Lord’s Name and prays

بَلْ تُؤْثِرُونَ ٱلْحَيَوٰةَ ٱلدُّنْيَا ﴿١٦﴾

87:16 But you prefer the life of this world

وَٱلْـَٔاخِرَةُ خَيْرٌ وَأَبْقَىٰٓ ﴿١٧﴾

87:17 even though the Hereafter is better and more lasting

إِنَّ هَـٰذَا لَفِى ٱلصُّحُفِ ٱلْأُولَىٰ ﴿١٨﴾

87:18 Indeed, this was in the earlier Scriptures

صُحُفِ إِبْرَٰهِيمَ وَمُوسَىٰ ﴿١٩﴾

87:19 the Scriptures of Abraham and Moses
