Surah At-Turسورة الطور

وَٱلطُّورِ ﴿١﴾

52:1 By the mount of Tūr

وَكِتَـٰبٍ مَّسْطُورٍ ﴿٢﴾

52:2 and by the Book inscribed

فِى رَقٍّ مَّنشُورٍ ﴿٣﴾

52:3 on an unrolled parchment

وَٱلْبَيْتِ ٱلْمَعْمُورِ ﴿٤﴾

52:4 and by the much-frequented House [in heaven]

وَٱلسَّقْفِ ٱلْمَرْفُوعِ ﴿٥﴾

52:5 and by the canopy raised high

وَٱلْبَحْرِ ٱلْمَسْجُورِ ﴿٦﴾

52:6 and by the sea ever filled

إِنَّ عَذَابَ رَبِّكَ لَوَٰقِعٌ ﴿٧﴾

52:7 The punishment of your Lord will surely come to pass

مَّا لَهُۥ مِن دَافِعٍ ﴿٨﴾

52:8 there is none who can avert it

يَوْمَ تَمُورُ ٱلسَّمَآءُ مَوْرًا ﴿٩﴾

52:9 On the Day when the heaven will convulse violently

وَتَسِيرُ ٱلْجِبَالُ سَيْرًا ﴿١٠﴾

52:10 and the mountains will move a horrible movement

فَوَيْلٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِينَ ﴿١١﴾

52:11 then woe to the deniers on that Day

ٱلَّذِينَ هُمْ فِى خَوْضٍ يَلْعَبُونَ ﴿١٢﴾

52:12 those who amuse themselves in falsehood

يَوْمَ يُدَعُّونَ إِلَىٰ نَارِ جَهَنَّمَ دَعًّا ﴿١٣﴾

52:13 On the Day when they will be shoved into the Fire forcefully

هَـٰذِهِ ٱلنَّارُ ٱلَّتِى كُنتُم بِهَا تُكَذِّبُونَ ﴿١٤﴾

52:14 [They will be told,] “This is the Fire which you used to deny

أَفَسِحْرٌ هَـٰذَآ أَمْ أَنتُمْ لَا تُبْصِرُونَ ﴿١٥﴾

52:15 Is this [punishment] magic, or do you not see

ٱصْلَوْهَا فَٱصْبِرُوٓا۟ أَوْ لَا تَصْبِرُوا۟ سَوَآءٌ عَلَيْكُمْ ۖ إِنَّمَا تُجْزَوْنَ مَا كُنتُمْ تَعْمَلُونَ ﴿١٦﴾

52:16 Burn in it, whether you bear it patiently or impatiently, it makes no difference to you; you are recompensed only for what you used to do.”

إِنَّ ٱلْمُتَّقِينَ فِى جَنَّـٰتٍ وَنَعِيمٍ ﴿١٧﴾

52:17 Indeed, the righteous will be in gardens and bliss

فَـٰكِهِينَ بِمَآ ءَاتَىٰهُمْ رَبُّهُمْ وَوَقَىٰهُمْ رَبُّهُمْ عَذَابَ ٱلْجَحِيمِ ﴿١٨﴾

52:18 enjoying what their Lord has given them, and their Lord protected them from the punishment of the Blazing Fire

كُلُوا۟ وَٱشْرَبُوا۟ هَنِيٓـًٔۢا بِمَا كُنتُمْ تَعْمَلُونَ ﴿١٩﴾

52:19 “Eat and drink pleasantly for what you used to do

مُتَّكِـِٔينَ عَلَىٰ سُرُرٍ مَّصْفُوفَةٍ ۖ وَزَوَّجْنَـٰهُم بِحُورٍ عِينٍ ﴿٢٠﴾

52:20 reclining on lined up couches”. And We will marry them to houris of wide beautiful eyes

وَٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ وَٱتَّبَعَتْهُمْ ذُرِّيَّتُهُم بِإِيمَـٰنٍ أَلْحَقْنَا بِهِمْ ذُرِّيَّتَهُمْ وَمَآ أَلَتْنَـٰهُم مِّنْ عَمَلِهِم مِّن شَىْءٍ ۚ كُلُّ ٱمْرِئٍۭ بِمَا كَسَبَ رَهِينٌ ﴿٢١﴾

52:21 As for those who believe and their offspring follow them in faith, We will cause their offspring to join them, and will not detract anything from [the reward of] their deeds. Everyone will be accountable for what he earned

وَأَمْدَدْنَـٰهُم بِفَـٰكِهَةٍ وَلَحْمٍ مِّمَّا يَشْتَهُونَ ﴿٢٢﴾

52:22 And We will provide them with whatever fruit and meat they desire

يَتَنَـٰزَعُونَ فِيهَا كَأْسًا لَّا لَغْوٌ فِيهَا وَلَا تَأْثِيمٌ ﴿٢٣﴾

52:23 They will pass around to one another a glass [of pure wine] which does not lead to idle talk or sin

۞ وَيَطُوفُ عَلَيْهِمْ غِلْمَانٌ لَّهُمْ كَأَنَّهُمْ لُؤْلُؤٌ مَّكْنُونٌ ﴿٢٤﴾

52:24 They will be served by their servant boys, as if they were well-protected pearls

وَأَقْبَلَ بَعْضُهُمْ عَلَىٰ بَعْضٍ يَتَسَآءَلُونَ ﴿٢٥﴾

52:25 They will turn to one another with questions

قَالُوٓا۟ إِنَّا كُنَّا قَبْلُ فِىٓ أَهْلِنَا مُشْفِقِينَ ﴿٢٦﴾

52:26 They will say, “Before this, we used to be in awe [of Allah] when we were living among our people

فَمَنَّ ٱللَّهُ عَلَيْنَا وَوَقَىٰنَا عَذَابَ ٱلسَّمُومِ ﴿٢٧﴾

52:27 Therefore Allah conferred favor upon us and protected us from the punishment of the Scorching Fire

إِنَّا كُنَّا مِن قَبْلُ نَدْعُوهُ ۖ إِنَّهُۥ هُوَ ٱلْبَرُّ ٱلرَّحِيمُ ﴿٢٨﴾

52:28 Indeed, we used to call upon Him before. He is indeed the Most Kind, the Most Merciful.”

فَذَكِّرْ فَمَآ أَنتَ بِنِعْمَتِ رَبِّكَ بِكَاهِنٍ وَلَا مَجْنُونٍ ﴿٢٩﴾

52:29 So keep exhorting [O Prophet], for you are not, by the grace of your Lord, a soothsayer or a madman

أَمْ يَقُولُونَ شَاعِرٌ نَّتَرَبَّصُ بِهِۦ رَيْبَ ٱلْمَنُونِ ﴿٣٠﴾

52:30 Or do they say: “He is a poet for whom we await a misfortune”

قُلْ تَرَبَّصُوا۟ فَإِنِّى مَعَكُم مِّنَ ٱلْمُتَرَبِّصِينَ ﴿٣١﴾

52:31 Say, “Wait, I too am waiting with you.”

أَمْ تَأْمُرُهُمْ أَحْلَـٰمُهُم بِهَـٰذَآ ۚ أَمْ هُمْ قَوْمٌ طَاغُونَ ﴿٣٢﴾

52:32 Do their minds prompt them to say such things, or are they a transgressing people

أَمْ يَقُولُونَ تَقَوَّلَهُۥ ۚ بَل لَّا يُؤْمِنُونَ ﴿٣٣﴾

52:33 Or do they say, “He has made it [the Qur’an] up”? Rather, they are not willing to believe

فَلْيَأْتُوا۟ بِحَدِيثٍ مِّثْلِهِۦٓ إِن كَانُوا۟ صَـٰدِقِينَ ﴿٣٤﴾

52:34 Then let them produce a discourse like this, if they are truthful

أَمْ خُلِقُوا۟ مِنْ غَيْرِ شَىْءٍ أَمْ هُمُ ٱلْخَـٰلِقُونَ ﴿٣٥﴾

52:35 Were they created by none, or were they the creators [of themselves]

أَمْ خَلَقُوا۟ ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضَ ۚ بَل لَّا يُوقِنُونَ ﴿٣٦﴾

52:36 Or did they create the heavens and earth? Rather, they are not certain in faith

أَمْ عِندَهُمْ خَزَآئِنُ رَبِّكَ أَمْ هُمُ ٱلْمُصَۣيْطِرُونَ ﴿٣٧﴾

52:37 Or do they possess the treasures of your Lord, or do they have full control [of everything]

أَمْ لَهُمْ سُلَّمٌ يَسْتَمِعُونَ فِيهِ ۖ فَلْيَأْتِ مُسْتَمِعُهُم بِسُلْطَـٰنٍ مُّبِينٍ ﴿٣٨﴾

52:38 Or do they have a stairway [to the heaven] by which they eavesdrop? Then let those who eavesdrop produce a compelling proof

أَمْ لَهُ ٱلْبَنَـٰتُ وَلَكُمُ ٱلْبَنُونَ ﴿٣٩﴾

52:39 Or does He have daughters while you have sons

أَمْ تَسْـَٔلُهُمْ أَجْرًا فَهُم مِّن مَّغْرَمٍ مُّثْقَلُونَ ﴿٤٠﴾

52:40 Or are you asking them [O Prophet] for a reward so they find it too burdensome

أَمْ عِندَهُمُ ٱلْغَيْبُ فَهُمْ يَكْتُبُونَ ﴿٤١﴾

52:41 Or do they have [knowledge of] the unseen so they are writing it down

أَمْ يُرِيدُونَ كَيْدًا ۖ فَٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ هُمُ ٱلْمَكِيدُونَ ﴿٤٢﴾

52:42 Or do they intend a plot [against the Prophet]? But the plot of the disbelievers will rebound against themselves

أَمْ لَهُمْ إِلَـٰهٌ غَيْرُ ٱللَّهِ ۚ سُبْحَـٰنَ ٱللَّهِ عَمَّا يُشْرِكُونَ ﴿٤٣﴾

52:43 Or do they have a god other than Allah? Glory be to Allah far above what they associate with Him

وَإِن يَرَوْا۟ كِسْفًا مِّنَ ٱلسَّمَآءِ سَاقِطًا يَقُولُوا۟ سَحَابٌ مَّرْكُومٌ ﴿٤٤﴾

52:44 If they were to see pieces of the sky falling down, they would still say, “[This is only] a mass of clouds.”

فَذَرْهُمْ حَتَّىٰ يُلَـٰقُوا۟ يَوْمَهُمُ ٱلَّذِى فِيهِ يُصْعَقُونَ ﴿٤٥﴾

52:45 So leave them alone until they encounter their Day in which they will be struck down

يَوْمَ لَا يُغْنِى عَنْهُمْ كَيْدُهُمْ شَيْـًٔا وَلَا هُمْ يُنصَرُونَ ﴿٤٦﴾

52:46 the Day their plots will not avail them in the least, nor will they be helped

وَإِنَّ لِلَّذِينَ ظَلَمُوا۟ عَذَابًا دُونَ ذَٰلِكَ وَلَـٰكِنَّ أَكْثَرَهُمْ لَا يَعْلَمُونَ ﴿٤٧﴾

52:47 And for the wrongdoers, there will be another punishment before that, but most of them do not know

وَٱصْبِرْ لِحُكْمِ رَبِّكَ فَإِنَّكَ بِأَعْيُنِنَا ۖ وَسَبِّحْ بِحَمْدِ رَبِّكَ حِينَ تَقُومُ ﴿٤٨﴾

52:48 Be patient [O Prophet] with your Lord’s decree, for indeed you are under Our [watchful] Eyes. And glorify the praises of your Lord when you rise

وَمِنَ ٱلَّيْلِ فَسَبِّحْهُ وَإِدْبَـٰرَ ٱلنُّجُومِ ﴿٤٩﴾

52:49 And glorify Him at night and when the stars fade away
