Surah An-Naziatسورة النازعات

وَٱلنَّـٰزِعَـٰتِ غَرْقًا ﴿١﴾

79:1 By those who pull out [evil souls] harshly

وَٱلنَّـٰشِطَـٰتِ نَشْطًا ﴿٢﴾

79:2 and by those who draw out [good souls] gently

وَٱلسَّـٰبِحَـٰتِ سَبْحًا ﴿٣﴾

79:3 and by those who glide swiftly

فَٱلسَّـٰبِقَـٰتِ سَبْقًا ﴿٤﴾

79:4 and those who overtake one another as in a race

فَٱلْمُدَبِّرَٰتِ أَمْرًا ﴿٥﴾

79:5 and those who carry out the command [of Allah]

يَوْمَ تَرْجُفُ ٱلرَّاجِفَةُ ﴿٦﴾

79:6 on the Day when the earth convulses [by the first Blast]

تَتْبَعُهَا ٱلرَّادِفَةُ ﴿٧﴾

79:7 followed by the second Blast

قُلُوبٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ وَاجِفَةٌ ﴿٨﴾

79:8 hearts will be pounding on that Day

أَبْصَـٰرُهَا خَـٰشِعَةٌ ﴿٩﴾

79:9 and their eyes will be downcast

يَقُولُونَ أَءِنَّا لَمَرْدُودُونَ فِى ٱلْحَافِرَةِ ﴿١٠﴾

79:10 They say, “Will we be brought back to life

أَءِذَا كُنَّا عِظَـٰمًا نَّخِرَةً ﴿١١﴾

79:11 after we have turned into decayed bones?”

قَالُوا۟ تِلْكَ إِذًا كَرَّةٌ خَاسِرَةٌ ﴿١٢﴾

79:12 They say, “Then that would surely be a losing return!”

فَإِنَّمَا هِىَ زَجْرَةٌ وَٰحِدَةٌ ﴿١٣﴾

79:13 It will only be a single Blast

فَإِذَا هُم بِٱلسَّاهِرَةِ ﴿١٤﴾

79:14 then they will immediately be above the ground

هَلْ أَتَىٰكَ حَدِيثُ مُوسَىٰٓ ﴿١٥﴾

79:15 Has there come to you the story of Moses

إِذْ نَادَىٰهُ رَبُّهُۥ بِٱلْوَادِ ٱلْمُقَدَّسِ طُوًى ﴿١٦﴾

79:16 when his Lord called out to him at the sacred valley of Tuwa

ٱذْهَبْ إِلَىٰ فِرْعَوْنَ إِنَّهُۥ طَغَىٰ ﴿١٧﴾

79:17 [Saying,] “Go to Pharaoh, for he has transgressed all bounds”

فَقُلْ هَل لَّكَ إِلَىٰٓ أَن تَزَكَّىٰ ﴿١٨﴾

79:18 And say: ‘Are you willing to be purified

وَأَهْدِيَكَ إِلَىٰ رَبِّكَ فَتَخْشَىٰ ﴿١٩﴾

79:19 and I will guide you to your Lord so that you may fear Him?’”

فَأَرَىٰهُ ٱلْـَٔايَةَ ٱلْكُبْرَىٰ ﴿٢٠﴾

79:20 Then Moses showed him the greatest sign

فَكَذَّبَ وَعَصَىٰ ﴿٢١﴾

79:21 But Pharaoh denied it and disobeyed

ثُمَّ أَدْبَرَ يَسْعَىٰ ﴿٢٢﴾

79:22 Then he turned back striving to plot

فَحَشَرَ فَنَادَىٰ ﴿٢٣﴾

79:23 He gathered [his people] and proclaimed

فَقَالَ أَنَا۠ رَبُّكُمُ ٱلْأَعْلَىٰ ﴿٢٤﴾

79:24 saying, “I am your lord, the most high.”

فَأَخَذَهُ ٱللَّهُ نَكَالَ ٱلْـَٔاخِرَةِ وَٱلْأُولَىٰٓ ﴿٢٥﴾

79:25 So Allah seized him for an exemplary punishment in this life and in the Hereafter

إِنَّ فِى ذَٰلِكَ لَعِبْرَةً لِّمَن يَخْشَىٰٓ ﴿٢٦﴾

79:26 Indeed, there is a lesson in this for those who fear Allah

ءَأَنتُمْ أَشَدُّ خَلْقًا أَمِ ٱلسَّمَآءُ ۚ بَنَىٰهَا ﴿٢٧﴾

79:27 Are you more difficult to create or the heaven that He built

رَفَعَ سَمْكَهَا فَسَوَّىٰهَا ﴿٢٨﴾

79:28 He raised it high and proportioned it

وَأَغْطَشَ لَيْلَهَا وَأَخْرَجَ ضُحَىٰهَا ﴿٢٩﴾

79:29 and darkened its night and brought forth its daylight

وَٱلْأَرْضَ بَعْدَ ذَٰلِكَ دَحَىٰهَآ ﴿٣٠﴾

79:30 And thereafter He spread out the earth

أَخْرَجَ مِنْهَا مَآءَهَا وَمَرْعَىٰهَا ﴿٣١﴾

79:31 brought forth from it its water and its pasture

وَٱلْجِبَالَ أَرْسَىٰهَا ﴿٣٢﴾

79:32 and set the mountains firmly

مَتَـٰعًا لَّكُمْ وَلِأَنْعَـٰمِكُمْ ﴿٣٣﴾

79:33 as a provision for you and your grazing livestock

فَإِذَا جَآءَتِ ٱلطَّآمَّةُ ٱلْكُبْرَىٰ ﴿٣٤﴾

79:34 But when the Supreme Calamity comes

يَوْمَ يَتَذَكَّرُ ٱلْإِنسَـٰنُ مَا سَعَىٰ ﴿٣٥﴾

79:35 on that Day man will remember all what he did

وَبُرِّزَتِ ٱلْجَحِيمُ لِمَن يَرَىٰ ﴿٣٦﴾

79:36 and the Blazing Fire will be exposed for all to see

فَأَمَّا مَن طَغَىٰ ﴿٣٧﴾

79:37 As for those who transgressed

وَءَاثَرَ ٱلْحَيَوٰةَ ٱلدُّنْيَا ﴿٣٨﴾

79:38 and preferred the life of this world

فَإِنَّ ٱلْجَحِيمَ هِىَ ٱلْمَأْوَىٰ ﴿٣٩﴾

79:39 the Blazing Fire will be their abode

وَأَمَّا مَنْ خَافَ مَقَامَ رَبِّهِۦ وَنَهَى ٱلنَّفْسَ عَنِ ٱلْهَوَىٰ ﴿٤٠﴾

79:40 But those who feared standing before their Lord and restrained themselves from evil desires

فَإِنَّ ٱلْجَنَّةَ هِىَ ٱلْمَأْوَىٰ ﴿٤١﴾

79:41 Paradise will surely be their abode

يَسْـَٔلُونَكَ عَنِ ٱلسَّاعَةِ أَيَّانَ مُرْسَىٰهَا ﴿٤٢﴾

79:42 They ask you concerning the Hour, “When will it be?”

فِيمَ أَنتَ مِن ذِكْرَىٰهَآ ﴿٤٣﴾

79:43 How could you possibly mention that

إِلَىٰ رَبِّكَ مُنتَهَىٰهَآ ﴿٤٤﴾

79:44 Its knowledge rests only with your Lord

إِنَّمَآ أَنتَ مُنذِرُ مَن يَخْشَىٰهَا ﴿٤٥﴾

79:45 You are only a warner for those who fear it

كَأَنَّهُمْ يَوْمَ يَرَوْنَهَا لَمْ يَلْبَثُوٓا۟ إِلَّا عَشِيَّةً أَوْ ضُحَىٰهَا ﴿٤٦﴾

79:46 On the Day when they see it, it will be as if they had remained [in this world] no more than an evening or a morning
